The document presents a study on a three-phase shunt active power filter (SAPF) utilizing fuzzy and hysteresis controllers to enhance power quality by eliminating current harmonics in systems with nonlinear loads. The proposed SAPF model was simulated using MATLAB/Simulink, demonstrating superior performance compared to conventional controllers, with a total harmonic distortion (THD) of 5%, meeting IEEE standards. The results suggest significant improvements in the sinusoidal nature of the source current and overall power quality.
