- 4. Personal data has great value Many people are not fully aware about how their data is created, stored and shared around the world. When was the last time you read through a complete list of service terms and conditions? Do you know what is happening to your own personal data?
- 5. The European GDPR Coming May 2018 With the world continuing to move fast into the digital age, previous data protection laws have become outdated. The General Data Protection Reform will offer new rights for citizens and their personal data.

Access to some registers requires approval from multiple agencies – a process that can take between 12-18 months. - 16. What’s next? The Data for Good Foundation are continuing their efforts to gain funding for their research. They plan on developing products such as “Donate Your Data” that provide citizens with ownership and control of their personal data.
