Who is APZU? • Abwenzi Pa Za Umoyo, Malawi sister organization to Partners In Health (PIH) • PIH invited by Malawi government to Neno in 2006 • Strengthen health system in partnership with MOH – Build hospitals, renovate health centers – Support HIV and Tuberculosis treatment – Address underlying causes of disease – Provide free primary care to all • Employ 850 individuals, including more than 600 Village Health Workers
