PIPAL TREE is a Non Govt. Organization , Registered under the societies Registration Act
21,1860.
PIPAL TREE is not just a non-profitable society which teaches handicraft but a lot more than that.
We not just teaches but also provide a window though which they can peep around and able to
earn a basic livelihood for their family. We are a combination of technical skill along with
entrepreneur skill.
We not only generate employment but generate a light of hope for them to live which was dimmed
in their poverty.
Our handmade products are loved all over. We have four outlet at Jamshedpur & Ranchi and
supply our products to the government undertaking bodies like “Jharcraft” and “Kusum” emporium.
Our long term goal is to create social entrepreneur in
every village and make the villagers able to earn their
basic needs with a a respectable life in the society.

➢High incidence of poverty (Jharkhand’s 41.6% rural population
fall in BPL category against nation average 33.8%
➢Low annual average income@31982/- per annum against nation average of Rs.60972/- (2011- 2012)
Challenge.
Target.
➢Our target is to connect 1200 artisans with Income generation activity,
➢Formation and bank linkage of 500 SHGs,
➢Formation of 2 Handicraft Haat one in Jamshedpur another in Ranchi. By 2017
1. We visit villages to make S H G
2. We aware them about Govt. Scheme.
3. We join them with bank linkage .
4. We share and discuss Idea/business model with them.
5. We train them on a concept.
6. We also provide a platform for marketing for them.
Our action on the ground.
We take pleasure to introduce you to our one such effort to
a unique idea of wood Craft has been implemented on the
villages of East Singhbhum district .It was funded by us,at
the starting stage we trained 45 women and gave their
product a platform to sell in the Indian market, right now our
market has triple ,

•Handicrafts are unique expressions and represent a culture, tradition and heritage of a country.
•India is one of among the culturally rich countries in the world.
•Indian handicraft earns well from its export exchanges.
•Indian handicraft represents India globally.
•The Indian handicraft industry is a labor intensive, cottage based and decentralized industry.
THE IMPORTANCE OF HANDICRAFTS:
Cultural Importance - Handicrafts play very important role in representing the culture and traditions
of any country or region. Handicrafts are a substantial medium to preserve of rich tradition art,
heritage and culture, traditional skills and talent which are associated with people’s lifestyle and
history.
The Economic Importance - Handicrafts are hugely important in terms of economic development.
They provide ample opportunities for employment even with low capital investments and become a
prominent medium for foreign earnings.
These are some of our products made by the tribal artisans.

Our team includes 55 full time employees and 90 artisan families,
