- 1. PITCH This will include the information included in the research needed for making a trailer, and details of 2 plots that the group have chosen.
- 2. PLOT 1 3 mythical creatures need human blood to be beautiful and retain their youth Put prints on humans which makes them go to woods They capture humans, drink their blood and dump the bodies Too many people start to go missing, they get reported and a search begins The search party goes into the woods and bodies are found, families are gathered around crying Evidence of a fight scene but not much shown
- 3. PLOT 2 Horror Popstar dies on stage at concert Conspiracy theory death Sighting of the popstar, her ghost returns for revenge Is she dead?
- 4. POSSIBLE LOCATIONS Plot 1 - The main location that this trailer would be filmed in would be the woods, as this is where the mythical creatures live, and where a lot of the action happens. There would be a town/street involved as this would be where the victims live. Most of the filming will probably be based in the woods. Plot 2 - This trailer would need a stage/concert venue, it would also need various other places for the sightings, eg, a car or hidden garden.
- 5. SOUND EFFECTS Plot 1 – The sound effects in this trailer will be dramatic, such as suspense music and low key sounds to show the eerieness we would like the film to have. There may be some screams involved to show the pain, and I think footsteps could be included to make it more dramatic. I think we could also include music that sounds mythical and mystical to emphasise the characters and the mystery behind the film. I think a sting would make this film more dramatic, bringing out the thriller aspect.
- 6. SOUND EFFECTS Plot 2 – If we were to make this trailer, I think the sound effects would be dramatic, upbeat music to show the mystery behind the plot of the film. When the popstar gets killed there will be the sound of the weapon, and also the sound of the crowds reaction to the murder.
- 7. TYPICAL CINEMATOGRAPHY Plot 1 - As this is a fantasy/thriller, there will be a lot of close up shots when the action is actually happening, showing a lot of gore. There will be long shots and master shots of the woods and what is in it. There may be tracking of people being lured into the woods, and long shots, which would make the viewer feel as this they are personally watching what is going on. I think panning would make it more dramatic and eerie as the viewer wouldn’t know what to expect when the camera reached the subject.
- 8. TYPICAL CINEMATOGRAPHY Plot 2 – Close ups would probably be effective on the singer when there are sightings of her, making it seem more realistic so the viewer knows that it’s actually her. I think a long shot of the stage when the girl is murdered would look effective as it would also show the surroundings, including the audience. A close up of the reactions on the face of the person experiencing the sightings would show the drama and shock.

W H AT I N E E D T O AC H I E V E / L E A R N TO MAKE THE TRAILER To make either of the two plots I have written about, I will need to learn how to use any software involved in making the trailer, such as; Photoshop, iMovie, Garageband, for editing, making music and sounds for the trailer etc. How to use the cameras properly and effectively for filming. I need to achieve trial runs on each piece of software, so that when I have learnt, I can make sure that I know how to use each piece of software correctly and effectively. I would also need to do trial runs on the makeup of the main characters as the makeup is dramatic and has to be right to be effective, so our group need to be able to achieve to right look for the costume.
