This document compares and contrasts cooperative learning and collaborative learning. Collaborative learning is defined as a philosophy where students generate new ideas together and have interdependent roles through respect, shared goals and values. The key differences provided are that cooperative learning focuses on completing assignments while collaborative learning focuses more on the process of working together.
