- 2. Population Explosion One of the serious problems India is facing today is ‘Population Explosion’. It has become one of the most serious problems our country is facing. The current population India is 1,271,210,000 reported on May 15, 2015. China is on top and is on 2nd position with respect to the population.
- 3. Population Explosion The growth in the population has happened due to the difference between the rate of birth and the rate of death. Over- population has adverse effect on the economy and the environment. The main cause of increasing population is declining death rate. The rate of death has reduced tremendously because of medical developments.

The vaccines and other medical advancements have increased the life expectancy of individuals. On the other hand, the medical boon has brought with it, the curse of over population. The over population is causing the mismanagement of resources.

The technology has been improved so much that very few cases of pregnancy get complicated in today’s era and thus very few cases of miscarriage are recorded. As there is concentrated development in our country, the migration is concentrated towards the urban areas only.

This has increased the load in the cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru and many more. This increases the pollution and traffic in such concentrated areas. Therefore, overall development is necessary in the country.

People should be given proper education and knowledge of the resources available in the country. When people are unaware, it becomes difficult to control the population. Thus, overpopulation can affect the development of the country in various. The shortage of resources is the main trouble.
