Salford City College Eccles Sixth Form Centre BTec Level 3 Extended Diploma in Creative Media Production Film, TV and Radio HA4 – Objects of Desire Production Log Name: Lewis Dunn Production: Date Action Taken 28th May 2014 This was when I planned my advert and started to research different products and ideas I could use to suit my outside lifestyle best. 4th June 2014 After fully comparing and deciding on my final idea of the advert which was the Rockstar Energy Drink, now knowing what my idea was going to be I researched already existing Rockstar adverts which people have made and compared them to my idea to get some brief ideas before produce the advert. I then drew out my idea on 2 separate storyboards also saying what time and date the shooting would be at. 7th June 2014 I went out and shot some test footage using my phone which I then put on the computer I used the test footage to produce a quick advert just to help me get a better outcome when making my final edit. 10th June 2014 I asked my friend Jacques laycock to see if I could use his Canon HD Camera to shoot my footage and if he could assist to be the camera man as he has had experience filming for photography in college. I shot various of different angled shots to get the best light and distance I made sure I shot more than enough footage to confirm I have enough clips for the required advert time. 11th June 2014 I converted the clips to the computer and imported them into Adobe premiere pro and researched music which would suit the advert best. This resulted into me finally deciding that Rudimental- Feel the love Ft John Newman would fit the advert best. I took me the whole 3 hour lesson to edit and complete the advert getting the perfect clips, lighting effects and transitions which worked best during each clip. I imported a vector Rockstar image to appear at the end of the Ad to then show it is Rockstar energy which is being advertised through the video. When I was finished and happy with the advert outcome I exported it as a Jpeg and uploaded it to YouTube.
