The Praying Mantis writing group carried out a statistical investigation over 6 days that found students at Insoll Avenue School were regularly littering and not using rubbish bins. Through recording data in a tally chart and creating a bar graph, the group determined that on one day over 300 pieces of rubbish were collected from a small area of the school grounds. - 4. Students of Insoll Avenue School are dropping their rubbish. They are not using the bins provided!!!
- 5. Room 1 doesn’t like picking up other peoples rubbish!
- 6. It This wastes rubbish our stinks time
- 7. Its It is yuck and very frustrating, germy as there are rubbish bins found all around our school.
- 8. Rubbish attracts unwanted pests such as rats, cockroaches, flies and ants.
- 9. We Cockroaches have seen are in our a rat in the large classrooms. red bin!
- 10. If we have rubbish everywhere...
- 11. People will think we are dirty
- 12. Visitors will judge us
- 14. The past six days we have been picking up your rubbish and recording information in a tally chart.

- 17. In just one day Insoll Avenue School dropped 150 pieces of plastic 70 bits of paper 91 food scraps and 6 other items on just a small area of our school. In total that is 317 bits of rubbish
