For their preliminary task, Adam and their group were asked to film a short dialogue scene between two actors, including filming one actor walking through a door and sitting down. They then had to edit the footage together into a cohesive film. Adam found the filming easy but the editing was average difficulty due to some continuity issues. Through the process, Adam learned not to break the 180 degree rule, to ensure match on action between takes, and how to execute shot/reverse shot filming. Things that went well included the match on action during filming and a fluent edit. Areas for improvement included continuity, camera quality, and dialogue speed during filming.
