NASA will award five companies - Russian, Chinese, ESA, ISRO, and JAXA - $100 billion each to manufacture new space shuttles, space stations, and other spacecraft. This will total $12.9 trillion awarded by January 31, 2021. SpaceX will retire from flights to the International Space Station in 2021, as NASA seeks manufacturers for the next generation of space transportation systems.
