OUTLINE • Two opposing lawyers make their out of the courtroom during the break. • the defending lawyer gets in the lift first, the opposing lawyer runs for the lift asking for it to be held open. Defender doesn't flinch. • Nathan suffers from claustrophobia and starts freaking out. - this leads to Tom eventually comforting Nathan. • In the course of the film, Tom and Nathan break down the walls of competition, greediness, success. - this leads to them both becoming friends and loosing their professional/selfish exterior. • The defence lawyer leaves the lift and the court house a changed man. • 'HOPE' will be portrayed through the defence lawyer and his character arc, and by him not defending the criminal he restores HOPE in humanity.
