 Rate&Bill is a fast and efficient Billing and Customer Care System
built on 2012 by Rate&Bill Limited company.
 Real-Time charging for both postpaid and prepaid contracts.
 Near Real time batch procession for postpaid contract CDRs.
 Full billing cycle management: Rating. Charging, customer care, billing,
invoicing, payment, dunning and reporting.
 Strong rating simulator used to build and execute rapidly different test
scenarios.
 Pluggable billing system implemented on top of Eclipse foundation
platform.

Applicable Service Charges
Overview
 Service Usage Charges: Telephony, MMS, Data services; other customized
Charging before, during or after an event.
 Recurrent Charges: Monthly, weekly, yearly and other recurrent charges;
including recurrent charges on the occurrence of specific events.
 One Shot Charges: Activation, suspension and deactivation of contracts or
service.
 Foreclosure charges: Penalty charges for the contract offer braking.
 Other charges and credit: immediate charges applied directly by the agent.

Installation

 Deployment is essential to provide
scalability and availability of
applications. Charge can be
distributed across multiple Rating and
Billing instances.
 Two main aspects of the system need
to be extracted and one of the files
executed. The deployment of the
system comes in a GUI release
installation on the service providers
machine.

 The RNB_HOME Release may be installed on the
server in the data center or on any type of server.
 Resource and bin are on the same level; this may
represent folders within the main installation
folder.
 The order of files and sub folders must be kept in
specified order. All scripts may be located in the
sub folders as illustrated in the directory folders.

Deployment
 Deployment includes all the operations to prepare
a system for assembly and transfer to the service
provider’s site.
 All resource needed must be accessed before
deployment. Information on other requirements for
carrying out deployment must be gathered as well.
 GUI release is based on Eclipse plugins and it is
developed using Eclipse RCP environment. The
