to create and image. An excellent example of a carved sculpture is the marble

Modeling is a subtractive process, the form is created directly on a soft and malleable,
like clay and wax, on a minimal support structure made of rigid material.
Stone carving is an modern activity where pieces of rough natural stone are
shaped by the controlled removal of stone.
Casting is a manufacturing process by which a solid material is poured into a
mold, which contains a hollow cavity of the desired shape, and then allowed to
solidify.

sculpture is often called simply a " bron z e " .
Sculptors have generally sought to produce works of art that are as permanent

developed in the twentieth century.
