More than 1 million petabytes in size and processes more than 24 petabytes of data a day 32 billion searches are performed each month More than 1 billion unique users visit YouTube each month Over 6 billion hours of video are watched each month on YouTube 90% of the data in the world today has been created in the past two years. In 2012, data was forecasted to double every two years through the year 2020. In 2020, the amount of digital data produced will exceed 40 zettabytes, which is the equivalent of 5,200 gigabytes for every man, woman and child on planet earth.

- 4. • What is Bigdata phenomena? • Big data specifically refers to data sets that are so large or complex that traditional data processing applications are not sufficient. It’s the large volume of data (both structured and unstructured) that inundates a business on a day-to- day basis. • So, it has a great opportunities for investors and entrepreneurs as well as huge implications and concerns on individuals.

Data Management : actually this is a big issues for the investors in big data, because they have to turn these bulk of data to useful information in order to Data Privacy : this is a big concern for the investors since the global trend of data privacy goes to make the decision on processing and controlling the data within hand of owner of data (i.e. induvial) Security: even in Infrastructure or integrity of data In fact, we can not limit the benefits that can be derived from the bigdata due to the multiplicity of sources and the quality of data that companies still collect from their clients. For example: - Better strategic decision - Improve control of operation and processes - Better understanding of customers - Cost reduction even in operation and start business - Open a great areas of research and development
- 6. • As mention in GSMA report, the main privacy principle are shown in the next figure • So, the big issues of privacy rules in bigdata is USER CHOICE AND CONTROL, because it will establish a non stability in investments since deleting user data means that the company will loss their efforts in collecting clients data in addition to the spent time in analyzing these data.
- 7. It is important to note that government should NOT take deep specific actions to regulate the way of collecting or processing the collected data. Government should highlight the general framework of privacy elements of its people and companies, in order to stimulate investment and open a namouras innovative ideas for its entrepreneurs. So, a very general and clear rules should be issued
- 8. Big data analytics has the power to provide insights about people that are far and above what they know about themselves. Bigdata offer infinite number of opportunities, and government should encourage data investors by minimizing the restrictions and rules of privacy of personal data. Also, government can utilize these data that have been collected by those investors. Government should organize and classify their data in appropriate way and offer it as open government data platform to open a new investments, Big data will directly and indirectly increase the national economy as well as to the GDP.
