PROBLEMS WITH FILMING
We had a few problems when we were filming on our first day , because we
intended to use evening in our film and when it actually came to filming
it was past 11 o’clock and so it was pitch black and the only light we
had was a small torch which only lit up a few parts at a time.
The camera we used was good but some of our shots were wobbly and it
didn’t look professional so we bought a camera holder to make sure
that the shots were stable.
We intended on using a car in our production, so we got one but we had to
try and get all the dialogue in one take so the car was really slow when
you looked out the car window, so in the film we had to speed it up
which made the shot look a little bit crude, as well as this we added a
car engine sound which was wasn’t a diegetic sound because we had to
add it onto the end.
ISSUES WITH FILMING
We only had a few issues with the filming
• Lighting
• Car Scenes
• Bad acting (before Re-shoots)
• Actors relying on script too much whilst on camera
• People looking at the camera when filming
• Camera was unstable
• Continuity (Charlie's trousers)
SUCCESSES WITH FILMING
We produced a really good production out of the time we were allocated.
We were really pleased with one of our shots because it worked really
well when edited the flip- pan shot was our best because it was an
interesting way to go between the shots without using a fade or cut.
On the re-shoots our lighting was much better because we were well
prepared and decided to film ours slightly earlier to make sure that the
natural lighting we did use was good enough to illuminate our subjects
and make the shot look a lot better.
The acting in our re-shoot was substantially better than before because
everybody was willing to make there characters more unique to the
personality's that we provided because before they were all similar but
on re-shoots Richards character was more dominant and Charlie's
character more submissive.
