Quantifiers
- 1. A little We use a little with uncountable nouns,it means some, but not much . -There is a little water in the bottle. -There is a little butter in the pan. -There is a little milk in the glass.
- 2. A few.. We use a few with countable nouns.It means some ,but not many . -There are a few books in the bookcase. -There are a few people in the market. -There are a few letters in the post box. -There are a few students in the class.
- 3. A lot of.. We use a lot of with all types of nouns.It means a large number or amount. -We have a lot of time . -There are a lot of eggs in the fridge. -There is a lot of money in the purse. -I have a lot of books .
- 4. Some-any(biraz,birkaç-hiç) We use some in positive sentences.But we use any in negative and question sentences. -There is some milk in the glass. -There isn’t any milk in the glass. -Is there any milk in the glass? -There are some books in the bag. -There aren’t any books in the bag. -Are there any books in the bag?
