Nathan Tugwell describes using various tools in Quark to lay out a professional-looking cover page for a social network. These tools include the textbox tool to import text, the image tool to insert photos of the social network, and the shape tool to create shapes while holding shift for proper proportions. Nathan also created a rectangle behind the text for contrast and added a glow effect. For a double-page spread, Nathan inserted images edited in Photoshop with cracks and text, and used the text tool in Photoshop and Quark to create columns of questions and answers in different colors for a magazine layout.
