- 1. QUESTION 6 What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?
- 2. Blogger When recording the process of my coursework across my blog, I mostly used word documents, prezzi andWord Presentations when distributing my work.This was due to being able to then expand on points easier due to the mind map like layout of prezzi. I scanned in story boards done by the group to give my blog a more visual element rather than simple words, similar with screenshots, to help get more detailed points across simply. The use of embedding things such as clips also helped visually as it meant that it was easier to specifically pin point parts within clips where something happened that was effective.

Collaborating using other forms of media Within the group we had a Facebook messaging group chat which meant we were able to quickly and efficiently contact each other whether that be to confirm plans for filming or to share ideas. Other forms of media such asTwitter andTumblr helped when collaborating as it meant that I was able to widen my knowledge of different shots and aesthetics and also meant that I was able to contact other people to find out about what they thought of my work. Group messaging ability was the most effective piece of media that I used as it meant that I was able to get into contact with different people and have everyone voice their opinions and discuss their feelings all in one place.

Research, Planning andThe Shoot When researching things such as my own general knowledge were useful, however the internet was dominantly the source of research I used.This was by using websites such as: YouTube –To find clips to discuss and evaluate within the thriller genre. IMDB-To understand different films and recommendations to the concept of the thriller genre. When planning I used my phone and other forms of camera to take stills for planning things such as locations and potential costume ideas, this was because it was easy to access and was always to hand so therefore was simple to use. We used a digital camera when shooting, it was the Canon digital HD camera, it was very easy to use as it allowed us to review our footage and change settings depending on where we were shooting.This meant that the footage came out a lot cleaner and smoother due to the availability and choice of setting changes.
- 5. Editing When editing the film I decided that I would make the parts within the film that were flashbacks would be in black and white and those in ‘normal time’ would stay in colour. I also chose to use dip to whites from 0.0-0.40 this was to show the innocence of the character of Lilly’s death, and then form then on dip to blacks to show how sinister Kyra’s character was to go after Rhiannon.
