My media product's target audience would be music fans aged 14 to 25 on YouTube, as this age range is most likely to access and use YouTube for listening to music. Both male and female fans would be included, as there is no gender discrimination in music, YouTube, or this age range. Similarly to Billboard and Blender magazines, the target audience would be teens and young adults aged 16 to 26, seeking music chart updates and using models/stars as role models on covers and in features. To maintain interest, each issue would include an exclusive article and involve readers through fan submissions to differentiate the product from others and keep it unique.

- 1. Question Four ~ Who would be the audience for your media product? The target audience are fans of YouTube music between 14 and 25 years old. This is because this is the age range who are most likely to access YouTube and use it to listen to music. The target audience is either gender because there is no sex discrimination in music, YouTube and there is not much in the targeted age range. Billboard’s target audience varies from young teens to young adults, about 16 to 26. I believe ‘Billboard’ is similar to my product because they both produce a music chart updates in each issue. Also ‘Blender’s’ target audience is teenagers aged 16-19 of both genders. Blender uses models/stars who many might consider a role models on their front cover and as their feature in each issue. This is similar to what I aim to achieve long term with You 2. I plan to maintain audience interest by keeping at least one exclusive article each issue of my magazine. I plan to keep including a similar amount of fan articles and including as many readers as possible in my product. This keeps my magazine different to most others on the market and being different or unique should keep a high interest in my product.
