- #10: Lotus Quickr provides integration plugins for the most common used applications on your desktop. It integrates with MS products like Office, Outlook and Windows explorer. It integrates with IBMLotus products like Lotus Symphony (the office suite of IBM), Lotus Notes & Lotus SameTime And it integrates in other applications like collaboration suites as Quickr & FileNet and you can integrate RSS feeds into your favorite RSS reader. The integration with Quickr & SharePoint is also on the application level. For example: Content from a specific Quickr folder can be automatically copied to FileNet An API provides custom integration options for Developers. From each desktop application you have the same look and feel and options to ALL your content. The same dialog box is available from each desktop application. The Features of the connectors are among others: Save 2 library / Download from library Create from templates Check In & Check Out or Cancel Checkout Basic Workflow management (like approve / reject) Version management (like creation and deletion) And access all document properties. Also meta data from FileNet
- #13: The IBM ECM Services for Lotus Quickr are delivered in two parts. The Services themselves can reside either on the ECM server or on the Lotus server, and are installed on WebSphere Application Server. The Lotus Quickr-ECM feature pack (which includes the web portlets) must be installed on the Lotus Quickr server. Here, IBM FileNet and Content Manager Services for Lotus Quickr, and P8 all are installed on WebSphere Application Servers. In particular, Lotus Quickr should be installed on it’s own WebSphere Application Server. IBM FileNet Services for Lotus Quickr and Content Engine can be co-located on a single WebSphere Application Server, but it is recommended that at the minimum, they be separated into two server instances or profiles.
