The Crescent Jute Mills Co Ltd faces several problems with its current paper-based information system including inefficient information gathering, procedural faults, lack of efficiency, security issues, and communication problems. It spends over 5 lakh taka per month on extra equipment, staff, and materials for the paper system. Implementing a software-based system would save the company over 60 lakh taka per year by reducing costs and improving efficiency, security, and communication across departments. It is recommended that the company transition to a new software information system to address the current problems and realize significant economic benefits.

- 4. 4 Detail Findings: Problems of Information Gathering: 1.Needs more person/workers to entry data in the account book. 2. Sometimes Account Book may have lost, then the whole information has been lost in that way. 3. It’s difficult to collect information in account book than software. 4. Sometimes Handwriting aren’t clearto understand.That’s a huge problem in a big deal. 5. When new manager is appointedin a jute mill, he can’t know and do everything what previous manager can do. Faults of Procedure: 1. If the MillsAuthority appoints more manager or worker instead of using software, then they have to pay more money which can decrease their production.
- 5. 5 2. Sometimes the company pays workers payment via worker leader. Sometimes corruption is happeningthere and the workers don’t get their proper money. 3. When they sell their products to customer, sometimes there can be error in account book or dealing page which can be huge loss for a jute mill. 4. If Other CompetitiveJute Millsare using Software in their whole unit, then this Jute mill will face many problems in the market. Problem of Efficiency: 1. The company does their job in the old way using pen & papers. This method is highly inefficient. 2. They need more men than using software. So it is less inefficient 3. By using less man in management more general workers can be hired. This will increase productivity. Problems of Security: 1. Anybody can see the detailswritten in notebooks. 2. Anybody can take the notebooks and modify entries 3. Worker leader can steal money from general workers
