Research task 6 – question 3
- 1. RESEARCH TASK 6 – QUESTION 3 For this question I have taken a few shots outside for examples of mise-en-scene that will look similar to, or represent the images that will be present in my final magazine.
- 2. Image #1 This image was taken on a dark staircase at the back of the Sixth Form College. The area is quite dark which compliments the rock theme of my music magazine, coupled with the fact that it is not very nice to look at reinforces this statement, and will appeal to the young male target audience for its grunginess.
- 3. Image #2 This image was taken near one of the car parks at the back of the Sixth Form. The dim lighting coupled with the run-down look of the surrounding environment gives a very grungy feel, conforming well to the conventions of a typical rock magazine.
- 4. Image #3 This is an alternate angle shot of the previous image, providing a view of the background. The run- down nature of the tree and dirty fences conform to the rock theme.
- 5. Image #4 This image is a straight shot of a plain wooden fence that is quite dirty. It can be used as a background of some form to place people in front of.
- 6. Image #5 This image was taken inside the Hampton building in the locker room. The clean simplicity of this room contrasts with the rest of the images which show quite a dirty and run-down environment.
- 7. Image #6 This image was taken in the Kitson building at the staircase. It is quite a dark shot and could be used for a background.
