How To Find an Online or Traditional Course
Reserve

         From the Library homepage click
         on Course Reserves
Select Instructor, Department, Course and Section to
limit your search
Select Search
The instructor’s name and course title
are displayed on the left side of the
screen. The results below are all the
physical and online reserves available
              for this class

How do you tell the difference between a
           physical reserve and an online

Most physical reserves will always have a Dewey
                      call number
However, physical items that belong to the
instructor will have a different call number.
Generally the instructor’s last name followed
by a number. Books, movies and CDs are
          examples of these items

All physical items on reserve are
kept at the circulation desk on the
                    1st floor
To access an online reserve click on the title
             of the document

This will take you to a detailed
       description of the record
This is a detailed record of the online
reserve. Most of the time the record will
only contain the Author and Title of the
                 document

To access the document click on the E-Items
                                   link
By clicking on the E-Items link an Authorization
window will appear. Enter your MSU id and
password into the appropriate field and select
                        OK

After clicking OK the document should open
                  in PDF. Format
You can now read the document from
the website, print, or save to hard disk or
                flash drive
When finished with the reserve either close
window or use the back page button to return to
the list of reserves or the initial reserves search
                       page
If you have any questions, comments, or concerns please do
not hesitate to contact Kermit Vencill – 783-5103, or
                   Kevin Horton – 783-2238
