This document provides a template for recording the resources required to produce product ideas. It includes an example entry for a soap opera project. This should help you to generate workable ideas for what you can realistically producefor this unit. Name: Chelsie Brandrick Date: February 25th 2017 Product Idea: Soap Opera Equipment/space/locations available to us: We have a variety of equipment available to us at CWC such as multiple cameras, tripods, microphones, lighting, iMacs for editing that have Adobe downloaded to them and a set ready to be used. Equipment/space/locations that would be required to produce this product: To create a multi-camera soap opera we will need access to three cameras, three tripods, a set that is in keeping with our script, lighting, multiple microphones, a MacBook or iMac to edit that has Final Cut Pro or Adobe. Thankfully CWC have all of the resources that we require to produce our soap opera to the standard that we wish. Technical skills that I have/am confident in using: I have over four years experience in using various editing softwares such as Final Cut Pro X, Adobe, iMovie and Logic Pro X, so I am confident in using them to create a high quality soap opera. Additionally I have directed numerous projects at college so I will be able to direct the project and communicate with a group. Technical skills that would be necessary to create this product: Many skills will be needed to create a highly effective and enjoyable soap opera. As this project is multi-camera one of the most important skills we will need is three efficient and experienced camera operators to capture our soap opera. A strong minded director that is capable of achieving the high standard and vision that we will require is essential. We will also need a producer that is able to communicate with the whole crew, organise and maintain the progression of the production. Finally we will need an experienced editor who can work under pressure and work to a brief accurately. Personnel required for this product idea (e.g. actors/models) In order to execute my soap opera idea, I will need several actors of a variety of ethnicities and age ranges to represent a wide range of the public. As my soap is set in a boarding school, I will need a large cast that can represent the teachers, staff and students.
