WHAT CAN ROBOTS DO?


Robots can do good for mankind. Hospitals are a bit like
factories.
There
are
many
mundane
tasks.
For
example, carrying things around, moving samples from one
apparatus to another, cleaning. There are also tasks that require
some strength. For example – lifting and moving patients.



Nowadays, Hi-tech robots give nurses helping
hand-robots carry plates, clinical waste, dirty
linen and medical supplies between wards and
be used for sorting pills and cleaning operating
theatres.
HOW DO THEIR WORK WELL?


Through
the
use
of
robotic
surgical
systems, surgeons are able to perform complex
surgical procedures with minimal pain, shorter
recovery times and minimal scarring.
AN ARMY OF LASER-CONTROLLED
ROBOTS
Davinci Robot moves its surgeon’s harms. The system is based on an
ergonomic console from which the surgeon directs the robotic arms to
perform the procedure.


Robotic Cardiac Surgery is a good alternative to conventional heart
valve surgery, for example, because it amplifies the human/surgeon
factor by eliminating tremor and enhancing vision and therefore
accuracy. The surgical trauma to the patient is little, because robotic
technology is integrated into minimally invasive approaches (keyholesurgery).



The use of a robot eliminates many of the human errors previously
associated with surgeon fatigue, such as hand tremor and vision
limitations. Improved precision in robotic surgery also means that the
surgeon is able to access hard-to-reach portions of the heart with
greater confidence and carry out the needed repair with less risk of
bleeding and infection.

Ciberknife is a precise and powerful linear accelerator with a robotic
arm in real time following tumor motion caused by patient
breathing, without damaging healthy tissue.



The robot can do the treatment with sub-millimeter accuracy and allow
surgery without opening the patient who suffers from tumors in their
brain, pancreas, lung, prostate or liver. This technique is also indicated
in people who have received conventional radiation therapy and should
undergo treatment again, and that protecting the organs near the tumor
can treat and irradiated areas.

Robots prevent infectious disease from hospitals’ floors where
