objects are supported by the Data Import Wizard?

Chatter
Describe the features of Chatter (eg feed, groups, following, security)
Chatter
• An Enterprise Social collaboration application that helps you connect with coworkers inside
your Salesforceorganization
• Share business information securely and in real time
• Invite co-workers without Salesforce licenses to join Chatter
o Can view profiles, post on their feed, join groups, but can't see your Salesforce data or records.
• Not the sameas instant messaging
• Using Chatter Free License can invite customers to groups you own and manage
o Users outside your company’s emaildomain
o Limited Chatter access and can only see and interact groups they are invited to
• Can configure emailnotifications
Chatter Posts
• #hashtag - users can add topics to posts/comments so other people can find their updates more easily
• @mention - users can mention someone to make sure that person sees their update.
• Do posts that Imake on a group appear on my profile where others can seethem?
o Yes, but who can see the posts depends on the type of group. If you post to a group that is:
• Public - anyone except customers can see the post on your profile.
• Private - only other group members can see the post on your profile.
• Private and allows customers - all members can see the post in the group, but only non-customermembers can
see the post on your profile.
• Can Iprevent people from seeing myposts?
o Anyone except customers can see your posts on your profile, and people following you can see your posts in their Chatter
feed. However, if you change a record, only people who have permission to see the record can see the record update a
feed
• Do Chatter posts and files count toward my storage use?
o Chatter feed posts, tracked changes, and comments don’t count toward your data storage. However, any files and photos
you upload are counted against file storage. Files uploaded on the Files tab are also counted against file storage.
Chatter Feeds
• Once you enable Chatter for your organization, you can turn on feeds for most standard objects
and all custom objects, allowing you to see real-time updates whenever anything changes.
• Users can post to feeds, comment on other posts, share files and links, work together on
documents, follow people andrecords.
• With feed tracking, users can even follow specific fields on a record. When a value for one of those
fields changes, Chatter posts an update to the feed, instantly alerting everyone who follows that
record
Chatter Groups
• Every user can create ChatterGroups
• Groups provide a private or public space for
sharing knowledge, insight, files andlinks.
• The Groups tab lists all groups, both public and
private.
• Administrators and group owners candelete
groups.
