It is an ERP software System. SAP is a company which was founded in Mannheim, Germany in 1972 by five ex-IBM engineers (Wellenreuther, Hopp, Hector, Plattner & Tschira). SAP stands for Systems, Applications, Products in Data processing.

It makes enterprise software to manage business operations and customer relations. SAP was the first market Leader which integrate an organizations various functions in to one Application. SAP till yet developed 4 Systems i.e. R/1, R/2, R/3 & ECC.
