WHAT IS
SAT?
WHAT IS SAT?
The full-form of SAT is
Scholastic Aptitude Test.
SAT is a pencil-paper based test that
assesses a candidate’s skills & knowledge
of the education received in high school.
The SAT is composed of three main sections
- Math, Evidence - Based Reading & Writing.
There is an optional 50-minute essay &
total testing time with the essay is
3 hours & 50 minutes.
WHAT IS SAT?
Essay scored on scale of 2–8,
in 1-point increments,
on each of three criteria (total 6–24).
Test scored on scale of 200–800,
(in 10-point increments),
on each of two sections (total 400–1600).
It is offered 7 times annually
SAT fee is $92 without essay and $103.5

Both sections of EBRW questions are
multiple choice questions
The exam is 3 hours long. SAT with
Essay is 3 hours and 50 minutes long
Most of the Mathematics questions are MCQs;
some questions are grid-ins i.e. students must

There is a time limit 100 minutes to
attempt EBRW and 80 minutes for Math
Math is divided into two sets of questions
– one to be attempted without using
calculator and one with calculator

Math sections comprise of questions categories into three different areas of math:
Passport to Advance Math- Workon, manipulate and solve complex mathematics
