Copernicus provides full, open, and free access to massive amounts of Earth observation data, enhancing interoperability with non-Earth observation datasets to facilitate big data analytics for various user communities. The approach includes strengthening distribution services and establishing data access and information services (DIAS), enabling seamless integration and access to data for users across the public, research, and private sectors. This initiative is supported by discussions with industry stakeholders, strategic consultations, and ongoing projects aimed at promoting growth and job creation in the downstream sector.
