DEPARTMENT
(738-C02)
• Scaffolding materials as per standards (Tube and Coupler scaffold
acceptable. NO frame scaffold)
• Competent scaffold supervisor to supervise all scaffolding
erection / dismantling / modifications
• Scaff Tags a must.
– Green Scaff Tag – OK for Use
– Red Scaff Tag – Don’t Use
– Yellow Tag – Use Full Body Harness
• Scaff Tag to be revalidated / inspected everyday.
If it is without inspection – DO NOT USE!
• Only trained scaffolders to perform or modify scaffolding works
• Full body harness @ 1.6 meters high and above

FACE IT with
both hands FREE.
Always maintain
3-point contact
• 2 hands, 1 foot
• 2 feet, 1 hand

Ladders of insufficient length pose potential fall
hazard. Ensure the top of ladder is extended 36”
(min) above the landing or provide grab bar.


Ladder inclined at 75O with the horizontal, positioned
to allow sideway step to and from the landing.

Ladders must be secured by the side rails (stiles), not by the
rungs, by means of lashing or ladder clamp.
Load bearing
coupler as a
temporary
positive stop
during scaffold
erection.
Do not hook
lanyard onto a
ladder / hole of
scaffold post.

Use rope to lower
or raise tools / materialsNever drop tools

Cover all OPENINGS on the
platform deck


Transom
Substitute Scaffold Board for Transom
DON’T
(scaffold load bearing tube)

Don’t use / work on an
incomplete scaffold

Don’t move scaffold with
person on platform
Use mobile scaffold
only on paved areas.
Poorly supported Planks

Scaffold planks must be piled evenly supported to prevent
warping / distortion.
DO NOT EXTEND SCAFFOLD TUBES
TOO LONG
POOR
HOUSEKEEPING
…materials left cluttered
on the ground
… couplers rusting in
storage drum filled with
water
Keep
materials
orderly and
tidy
