- 13. 1. HTC Vive • With Vive, you can look and move around a room-scale virtual environment. Because your physical location is tracked, you can explore and interact within immersive fantasy worlds. • Vive PRE includes the headset, controllers, and base stations that you need to start creating interactive VR experiences.

Install Steam and launch Tilt Brush. • It requires users to install Steam before launching the app. • The app's intuitive virtual toolbox enable creators to choose colours, brushes and a selection of other tools, including a mirror option to replicate brush strokes in multiple planes of symmetry. • In addition, Google has added some fun tweaks for users, enabling artists to paint with stars, light and fire.

- 18. Paint with Tilt Brush 1. On your painting controller, use index finger to pull the trigger. 2. Hold the trigger down and move the controller to paint. Note: You can switch which hand is your painting controller and which is your palette controller by tapping the bottoms of the two controllers together. This is great to use if a right and left handed person are sharing controllers. Activate paint palette 3. On palette controller, use thumb to swipe left or right across the thumbpad. 4. This will activate the palette. 5. Using painting controller, angle controller towards the palette in order to select items on the palette. 6. Focus the pointer and press trigger to make selections.
- 19. Change the width of brush strokes To change the width of brush strokes: 1. On painting controller, slide thumb left or right along the thumbpad. 2. Sliding left will make the brush stroke finer. Sliding right will make the brush stroke larger. Undo & Redo shortcuts 3. If we would like to quickly undo or redo brush strokes we have just made, we can use Undo and Redo in the Tools Panel or these shortcuts: To undo an action: On the palette controller, click the left side of the touchpad. To redo an action: On the palette controller, click the right side of the touchpad. Rotate & Resize your sketch 4. To scale, rotate, or move sketch, we can hold down both of the grip buttons on the sides of your controllers to grab the sketch. Then, move hands to pinch, spread, or twist the sketch.

- 21. ADVANTAGES 1. Dynamic brushes The Tilt Brush app comes with a wide range of 'Dynamic Brushes,' and these make it possible to paint everything from stars to snow in a virtual 3D space. There's also a handy colour picker that lets you paint using the colours of your choices. The brushes also include numerous designer stroke options, such as Hyper color, Thick Paint and Rainbow. 2. Easy-to-use interface Despite being seemingly complicated, Google’sTilt Brush comes with a simple and intuitive user interface. Features are arranged in a hierarchal menu, and common options like Undo and Colour Picker are easily accessible. Some of the unique options include the Snapshot tool, which lets you take a screenshot and move it around in a virtual space.

For this reason, Tilt Brush actually lets you 'walk' through your creations in the 3D virtual space. This lets you visualize the creations as floating colour strokes and shapes all around you. And it's every bit as awesome as it sounds. 4 Easy sharing If you're going to create immersive 3D masterpieces, it only makes sense to share them with others. And thanks to Google Tilt Brush, this isn't a problem. The app comes with handy options that let you share your 3D creations with others, both as full-room-sized VR ready creations and small animated GIFs.
- 23. DISADVANTAGES Only for HTC Vive and Steam users To use Google's Tilt Brush, users need the HTC ViveVR headset. In addition to that, the headset also needs to be configured with a Steam account beforehand. That's because the app is available only through the Steam software distribution platform. However, moving forward it's quite possible that the app comes to other VR headsets as well.
