PARK EXT DAY
Its a breezy day the wind is blowing and the day is bright
Jonesy an ex mercenary for hire is sitting on a bench the day
is colder than most as we can see there is a tv magazine
someone has left on the park bench which the pages are
blowing in the wind however not strong enough to move it.
Jonesy has been back from fighting for a little over a month
now he's been struggling we can see this in face by his
expressions. Jonesy rises from the bench slowly and begins to
walk next to the trees his hand rubbing and shoulder grazing
past one every now and again as he walks he places one of his
hands flat and the tree and this triggers one of his past
experiences during his time away.
SCENE 2 JUNGLE [PARK] DAY EXT
Gunfire and explosions are surrounding the area distant
shouting and screaming is deafening the recent explosion that
hit Jonesy's outpost has left nothing but destruction in its
way and death he looks around and sees nothing of what stood
there minutes ago he still struggling to hear anything and is
still trying to make sense of what has happened and how did
it happen he begins to walk and then all of a sudden he
stumbles and falls to his knees in the near distance another
explosions sets off and just misses him, begins to walk and
stumbles to his knees as the fun fire crackles and roars like
an angry cat draws nearer and nearer. He looks a up sees a
pair of boots identical to his he gets up to his feet to
investigate for survivors as he gets to the body he realizes
that the body is of someone that he was friends with and
looked up to this absolutely crushes his morale and makes him
not want to fight as he believes that without his comrade he
cannot fight on he gets to his feet placing his hand on tree
to support himself back to a standing position he then walks
away from his friend and leaves the war will again join him
in a different darker form.
SCENE 3 PARK DAY EXT
Jonesy finally snaps out of his past memory ripping his away
from the tree quickly knowing what had happened he continues
to walk in the direction he was heading before he hears
explosions and more gunfire in is head reminding him more of
the events that took place that day the noises get louder and
louder with each breath he takes to the point were he it
starts to deafen him temporarily he clutches his ears to try
and stop hearing the noises that are plaguing his ears and

Created using Celtx noises eventually fade away and the buzzing stops Jonesy slowly removes his hands from his ears he feels buzzing in his pocket he realizes his phone has been notifying him of several messages he has missed while he was in his dark place the messages are from a friend who has been checking up on him since he got back from fighting to make sure he is coping with his troubles he brought back from fighting. He checks his phone and ignores the messages still in a panic he increases his pace and walks up the hill quickly. SCENE 4 PARK/JUNGLE DAY EXT While walking Jonesy begins to hear guns and explosions as well as the shouting buzzing ringing in his ears this triggers another flashback to when he was fighting a few months ago this flashback was during the events after when his outpost was bombarded by the enemy and he had to live with the consequences of war and his boss discharged his services and sent him home. CUTTER Well Damn, You went to hell back didn't ya lad. Not a word comes out of Jonesy's mouth even though cutter gives him a compliment. CUTTER Not much of a talker I see, well you've done a great service and job out here everyone oughta be proud of ya. Still nothing coming out of Jonesy's mouth he remains in shock and regret that he was one of the few survivors CUTTER Dismissed lad. SCENE 5 PARK DAY EXT Jonesy snaps out of his flashback and continues walking where he goes to the tree that he used to sit by when he he first came back to calm himself down he knew these final moments would be his last stand he couldn't continue battling with his own self consciousness he had fought in jungles deserts fields many places but the worst battle was with himself and he didn't know how powerful of an enemy it could have been until it was too late judgement had been done it was too late
- 3. 3. Created using Celtx even after all the wisdom that he had received and people who wanted to guide him to deal with problems better it hadn't worked. He continued walking towards a specific tree remembering times of the 81 others who had lost their lives for a pointless conquest as he continues to walk he can still gunfire and explosions faintly in the corner of his mind. he reaches the tree that he was seeking and sits with his back to the tree and away from the green patch of grass that resides next to the trees he rummages around in his pocket looking for his box of cigarettes with frustration on his face he realizes that he forgot his lighter back at his home he slowly takes the cigarette out of his mouth and gently places it back into the box while putting his cigarettes away he puts his hand in the inside pocket of his coat and pulls out his old pistol that he kept from the war he stares at it for a good few seconds are realizes how much pain and suffering that it has brought him and how much he regrets accepting the job in the first place he pulls the slide of the gun back a realizes that the gun is empty he grins and stands up from the tree and and goes deeper into the woodland where he finds and nice hidden spot and digs a whole to bury the gun the last thing that's had him reliving his past nightmares over and over again he begins digging the whole and once its dug he throws the gun into the whole and covers it with soil with his shoe he feels happier that he has thrown away the last thing that has plagued him for weeks he emerges from the bushes takes a look up to the sky and says JONESY Peace be with you boys... FIN
