- 6. 1 9/23 How the course works… • Be on time!!! Attendance is registered during the first 30 minutes of the class. • Speaking introduction. Speak in English all the time! Teacher listens and writes mistakes to give feedback later on. • Reading: Check blog for the article that must be read for each class. * • Instructions for activities in case you come in late. • Participation is essential, so pay attention ALL the time! • Be communicative. • Don’t forget to check the blog for the reading and also in case there is any notice or HW. (Even if you are going to be absent) • Always save HW with your name and group on it and write emails in English. • You will have 3 writing assignments at the end of each unit. You will have a deadline to hand them in. If you don’t, you won’t be able to take the final writing assessment. • Work on MEC WEEKLY!!! If you don’t, your exercises won’t count! Rules and guidelines

Supporting ideas (examples, details, facts, etc) 3. Closing sentence (conclusion) How long is a paragraph? As long as needed, maybe 3 to 5 sentences.
