- 2. FADE IN: EXT. BEACH. MORNING. Establishing shot cliff faces, including the cliffs, sand, sea and grass. No characters are within the shot. Credits begin. Font is simple and black, yet creepy. Placed around the aspects of the location in the next shots, as if they are physically within the frame. The following wide shots show the cliffs, grass, sand and water of the empty/isolated beach separately, with only ambient sounds of the waves lapping. A wide shot of the flock of gannets sitting on a rock, with their loud, screeching diegetic sounds. A different wide shot of one flying away. Credits end. DISSOLVE TO: EXT. BEACH. MORNING. Wide shot of the dead man. DEAD MAN is lying flat on his back, his limbs sprawled out unnaturally and facing the sky. DEAD MAN is ambiguous, with no defining features, and bland, ordinary clothes. He has no obvious wounds, but is clearly dead. Closeup of DEAD MAN’s foot, with a slow pan upwards. Shoe is plain and nondescript, while the foot is at an angle that would be uncomfortable for a live person. A closeup of DEAD MAN’s hand, which is particularly pale. This is the right hand, which he is not holding the note in. There is a closeup of DEAD MAN’s left hand that is holding the note. There’s a focus pull on the note, bring the writing into focus. Font is old and creepy NOTE Tamam Shud DISSOLVE TO: BLACK SCREEN. The “Tamam Shud” written on the note remains while the background of the note and hand hand fades into black, drawing
