- 2. EARLY PERCEPTIONS I did not know what to expect. I thought that the classroom would be handled much differently than a regular classroom. I was nervous and not sure what would be expected of me from the teacher. I also did not know if the students would welcome me openly. In fact I thought that most students would be nervous around me or avoid me altogether.

- 5. PERSONAL DEMOGRAPHICS I am currently 21 years old and have been married for over four months. I am a junior at UCF and plan on graduating with a major in Elementary Education in May 2011. I enjoy working with children and have been volunteering in schools for the past two years. I also work for a physical therapist part time. I enjoy spending time with my family and doing things outdoors.
- 7. PARTICIPANT DEMOGRAPHICS My participants were 9-10 years old. There were 6 boys and 1 girl. 3 students have SLD (severe learning disabilities) 3 students were ESL (English as a Second Language. 1 student was autistic.
