The importance of forecasting 4

Editor's Notes

  • #2: Welcome to the importance of forecasting. Today and for the next 30 min, I will try and give you insight into the science of pre-monitions Through pre-monitions we have access to the future. I will suggest that pre-monitions come from a place called the non-local matrix where all information past, present and future is available. Physic call this phenomena retro-causation Which means that the arrow of time comes from the future to the present? Some people experience pre-monitions as VISIONS I do believe we have access to this information via our senses. Such a place is beyond most of our common experiences But if we were able to fine tune our measuring instruments and accessed to information from, we could all forecast events yet to happen First we must learn to focus and pay attention
  • #3: It is quite obvious that being able to forecast an event gives anybody a great advantage. Imagine we could predict which horse will win in the 7th race of the derby and which country will win the next world cup. Money could be made, disasters prevented, crime scenes avoided. In the business of forecasting I assume that most off us in this room have had strong premonitions that turned out to be true. So where does this stuff we call a pre-monition come from? Is this stuff already out there? Premonitions is a phenomena were by people experience a vision or of a feeling prior to an event that will happen. (Women/baby premonition) Might we be really more able to predict future events than we think?
  • #4: Back in the pre-history when the first humans roamed the African savanna, on a hot day, a thirsty individual perhaps needed a drink of water, for him the ability to forecast or sense which pond was free of predators, would be the difference between life and death. These people had to have had keen basic intuitions beyond there five senses, and this surely kept them out of harms way These Extra sensorial skills would be essential in the dangerous world of our ancestors With these skills they predicted weather, environmental phenomena and animal behavior. We have all heard of the animals abilities to predict catastrophic events such as tsunamis and earthquakes, hours before they happen (Frogs) So why not assume that our ancestors had these intuitive skills as well
  • #5: Assuming that hominid groups could already communicate in some rudimentary way, we can imagine them all around a fire, strategizing and visualizing ideal circumstances for the kill. In this sense, the forecasting of an event becomes a crucial community habit. This new behavior gives rise to ritual ceremonies often celebrated as the invocations of the hunted by the hunter’s, as if calling the spirit of the forest to manifest there dreams. Later on in history, in tribal cultures, the shamans were the common visionaries of the group; they would predict natural phenomena and Para-phenomena through premonitions. The shaman usually enters an altered state were he elaborates complex trances and vivid visualizations. It was the shaman who knew how to protect everyone from evil spirits, when to harvest, when to fish, when to hunt and how to heal. In a sense the shaman had access to the road map of destiny. Perhaps the shamans knew how to become conduits of information broadcast from the future and into the future. Anthropology studies of shamans in the Amazon rain forest describe how the Achuar and Huoranin Indians assemble early in the morning before dawn to hear the shamans dreams, they believe the dream is not owned by the shaman alone, but collectively by the group, the shaman is simply a vessel of the dream. The shaman is borrowed by the dream world to have a conversation with the tribe. These tribes believe the dream is a map, a forecaster of what is to come. Might the imaginable world of the dream be a forecaster of the material world?
  • #6: In our imagination we visualize. Dreaming and Day-Dreaming are examples of visualizations Visualization could be inviting the universe to unfold the way you would imagine it to unfold How many of have had wishes come true? And wishing is a form of visualizing When we visualize, a picture shows up in our minds. Visualization can be a mental rehearsal of an event that has yet to happen. Like the anticipation of a performance And when we visualize we are imagining virtual realities in our minds. Albert Einstein once quoted Imagination is a preview of life's coming attractions And yet our brain has no way of telling the difference between visualization and the real thing. Athletes as well as musicians and other performers use visualizations as a form of mental rehearsal.
  • #7: Research has shown that "practicing in your mind" is almost as effective as practicing physically A study by Dartmouth researchers. “Determined that people can acquire motor skills through "seeing" as well as "doing" The process of imagining yourself going through the motions of a complex musical or athletic skill activates brain areas that improve your performance. Brain scans and Positron emission tomography (PET) scans reveal that the mental rehearsal of an action activates the prefrontal areas of the brain. What these researches are saying is that you can visualize anything you want, embellish and exaggerate and in doing so you will be activating neurons that regulate functions in your body. Does this mean that we can change stuff from our visualizations? Although visualization is widely used today, even people who are familiar with it often don't realize its versatility and unlimited potential. For example, you could imagine that your immune system is taking charge and attacking antibodies before the onset of a disease. A common and simple use of visualization is “goal visualization,” which is simply making mental images of yourself already having achieved your perfect goal. The technique of visualization knows no bounds - because remember, you are working with your imagination.
  • #8: One of the greatest powers of the mind is the capacity to visualize and create a picture in our minds eye? Did you know that VISUALIZING is inviting the universe to unfold the way you would like it to unfold? .....and that when you visualize you materialize, when you visualize you materialize. Whether you like it or not The universe manifests what you are thinking, and feeling. visualization doesn't just exist in thought It is also accompanied by an emotion.
  • #9: The experience of visualizing exists in our hearts as much as in our brain Yet most of us ignore our emotions and wonder off in our unstoppable mental chatter most of the time. On average we have 50,000 thoughts/ day, and most of these thoughts operate in reactive mode.....That is reacting to the world around us. Especially in western culture we don't give much time to the imagination, with our busy lives and busy schedules. And even when we do imagine and create pictures in our mind, these images dissolute easily. In a sense it is like not being able to focus long enough on a thought before an intrusive image pops up and the mental noise takes over. The ability to focus with intent is not an easy skill. Mediators and artist master there ability to focus and they do this for lengths of time. In a sense we have to quiet our thoughts in order to see any image clearly with intent, much like a reflection off a pond and if you think of it, that reflection will never clear until the surface of the pond is still.
  • #10: When we visualize we observe in our minds eye And the act of observation changes the nature of what you look at Experiments with Beryllium have proved the capacity of the mind to materialize an atom Heisenberg’s uncertainty principle states that an electron only exists as a field of possibilities It behaves as a cloud dispersed or smeared around the nucleus of an atom, until someone “the observer” looks at it At that moment the electron coalesces in one place. This is known in physics as the observer effect. In other words the electron exists in many places at once until you look at it. beryllium (Be) (boil´ēm), (n a steel-gray, lightweight metallic element with an atomic number of 4 and an atomic weight of 9.01218. Alloys are used in fluorescent powders) Scientist in the US have tested Beryllium at super hot temperatures, It turns out that at this temperature this element can condense and solidify only when it is being observed with intent, otherwise it exists in a cloud like form. For this experiment several subjects were selected. There role in the experiment was to observe or not to observe a tall tank where beryllium at high tempt existed in a cloud of possibilities. Data was taken when nobody was looking, when subjects where looking but not focused, and thirdly by a group of observers that focused with great intent on the Beryllium. The evidenced produced by this experiment suggest that the beryllium only materialized when it was being observed with great focus and vigilant intent. How many of us have observed impatiently at a kettle waiting for the water to boil
  • #11: In this sense the future of the beryllium atom is coalescing until somebody visualizes it into existence, so somehow by visualization we can not only see possibilities, but we can also change the nature of what we observe in our minds so to speak. In the above slides we see two examples of the famous emoto water slides after being subjected to intentional thought. And we have to make the distinction again that thought alone will not affect the world around us, thought has to be paired with a passionate emotion in order to work.
  • #12: Insightful or aha moments and creativity are two forms of the imaginable Where do these moments come from? I would like to suggest that when such moments happen, What we are really doing is tapping into information that is out there. Outside our bodies. Perhaps when these moments happen we are indeed channeling In this sense the artist is like a well tuned receiver, the artist is a visionary. Like the person whose prayers are answered. Like the shaman, the artist streamlines a flow of information, that we call creativity Improvisation is an instance were creation happens spontaneously.
  • #13: Imagine somebody improvising; say a musician with 10 fingers at the piano, the mental activity that must be generated to coordinate fine motor skills capable of spontaneously moving 10 fingers in a structured complex sequence of signals is unfathomable. Neurons in chain reaction would have to process instantaneous operations in our brains at a speed of 10,000 of sec requiring information to be transmitted at 1000 meters/sec a speed that exceeds the known capabilities of axon and dendrites. Just imagine the calculations necessary to anticipate where the finger’s are going.... and instantly calculate, dynamics, harmony, rhythm and phrase shaping in a free flow of form So how can the pianist improvise so gracefully and naturally? Might the act of improvisation be the result of a musician channeling information from out there? Might the pianist improvising really be accessing a non-local matrix where all information past, present and future is available (Demonstration) Artist and great inventors don't have anything particularly special; creativity and insight are available to all of us Thinking and creativity both reside in the imaginable realm, like the pre-monition When a strong belief accompanies the experience of the imaginable, anything can happen. In these situations, Thought charged with powerful convictions shapes the future and affects the world around us. And if our thoughts today affect what will happen tomorrow Forecasting becomes an exercise in intention
  • #14: A current model of reality can be illustrated in this picture. A TV set and antenna emitting a signal. In this case we are the TV and the universe is the signal being transmitted In other words if our bodies acted as a TV, the picture of reality we see on the screen, would be what we experience as real This would mean that our bodies are in fact, finally tuned machines that retrieve information, broadcast from the universe at large. To make matters worst the TV set has no way of knowing that the universe exists out there, all it can relate to is the picture on its screen. If this were true the universe would exist independently of the receiver, and we would all be living in a fundamentally purposeless universe, We would just be along for the ride, just a sheer accident in evolution, playing the part as witness of life unfolding before us. If we broke the TV set the signal being broadcast out there would still be out there In this model of reality, the observer effect doesn't really apply The universe exist independent off any observer But as we have seen earlier, the observer effect is a real phenomena and when we observe we materialize... ....so something is missing here. Instead might we be experiencing two way interconnectivity A reciprocity that receives and projects information back and forth Might the pianist improvising really be channeling a non-local matrix where all information past, present and future is available
  • #15: A more accurate representation of how we observe reality is as DVD projector. And the DVD projector not only receives a signal from a source, say this DVD player But also broadcast the image of what comes in out there. The act of observation changes the object being looked at That means that when we look at something we send out an energy signal that changes the world out there Much like the projection only becomes an image when it hits a surface Well Recent research has discovered that all living systems including us emit light. They call this phenomena “bio-photo emissions”/ normally these emissions are linked with excited states within the living system. Some scientist believe that Bio-photo emissions are a communication system that has non-local effects on the body/ That means that they act simultaneously in many parts of the body The projector idea fits nicely with this discovery The simultaneous communication of Bio-photo emissions also explains the lighting speed necessary for creativity. So it turns out that we do radiate light and perhaps other quantum particles too And we may just be in a two way street interaction, like radar in charge Of reception and transmission And reality appears from many arrows of causation And strangest off all, we are interconnected and everything is influencing each other and the greater whole
  • #16: And this phenomena is much to complicated to explain in only 30 min If only you had a glimpse of the extraordinary powers that we all have As co-creators of reality interconnected with all things. Your thoughts today affect what will happen tomorrow and your destiny has already happened We all belong to a greater whole And we are in this wholeness broken up into units of self-awareness all dreaming that we are separate. In this dream we visualize thoughts and emotions as our own? If we in fact co-create this dream we call life We can choose thoughts that promote, hate and violence or love and compassion
  • #17: But we also have to pay attention to information that arrives to us from out there The universe sends us signals and land posts And many times it comes as a pre-monition a “dejavu” And we must pay close attention when this happens, and trust these experiences. Like the mother who was dreaming that her child was being crushed by the chandelier Pre-monitions and Pre-cognitions can be life changing, visions that come to our minds eye We can visualize the future by way of a pre-monition In this sense the future comes to us with a purpose Great Leaders in history have had these pre-monitions and intuited the future, and they also knew how to broadcast intentions The effective ones acted like the future was already here   Does there exist a map of the future 1. (scientists have evidence that small pre-echo of emotional arousal are possible/ “Slide experiment with happy or sad pictures and Shock experiment”.) ....and does a premonition give us access to the future Among great entrepreneurs many had intuitive pre-monitions that led them to successful business ventures Perhaps this is how they can predicted the best hire's for the new job How do they do this? In business, those that win are able to pick up subtle cues and opportunities, much like gamblers in Vegas or Wall Street Let’s call it intuition Where does it come from? Is it extra-sensorial? Perhaps these were the subtle cues picked up by humans who desperate needed to survive the African savanna. 2. (“Train wrecks in the Chicago area”)
  • #18: 1) Everything in the future already exists in the realm of pure potential and that in seeing into the future or the past we are helping to shape it. “The act of observation” 2) Multi-world theory he many worlds interpretation insists that the system occupies all its possible states but that every one of them exists in its own alternate universe. Each universe sees one state only, which is why we never observe the block in two states at once 3) All is paved in concrete “gravity”, and we are marching through reality frame by frame Everything that was going to happen already occurred and we are just along for the ride As passive expectations. “Free will disappears” “ Within this universe of absolute determinacy, people with pre-monitions were simply tapping into this information, which was already available, because it already happened
  • #19: Indeed Multiple possibilities await us At this critical hour And perhaps we never have had a more critical time For it is up to ourselves to change the way we go about our business The business of life as a whole If we are to survive as physical entities on this planet, change will have to take place We must begin by trusting the inner power that has been given to each one of us And move on quickly to express a collective vision that contains a much better future for all Think of this, if Individual thoughts change atoms of beryllium Our collective thoughts can change the outcome of global events, When a large group of humans get together and share the same thought we can steer our future anywhere That future includes dangerous collective ideas such as the end of the world and the apocalyptical catastrophes frequently sold by the media. Our mental state is contributing to the fate of this planet and it’s up to you to change this Self-fulfilling prophecy.
  • #20: For the universe matches our collective vision. Sure there are dire problems, but their is also human ingenuity, creativity and love We have to become conscious of our inner strengths We are not just helpless spectators We must unlock our full potential as humans and start Thinking and feeling a world possibility where all of GAIA is blessed with compassion, sustainability and we live harmoniously with nature. This way, change will begin materialize And this bad future will have never happened Believe in your inner power, its time for more of us to wake up and take on our galactic destiny Let’s go out and tend the earth’s garden properly, responsibly as one
