• #5: This is our whole business unit，for transmission line we have 2 BU，one is for composite long rod insulators，and the other is for composite insulated cross arm tower solutions，2 BU for Substations，all-composite insulated solutions and overall sealing solutions，and 1 BU of anti-flashover & aging repair for existing outer insulation of OHL & S/S, and based on these 5 products BUs, we are developing the EPC BU which will provide complete composite insulation solutions and service to the clients including EPC solutions, project finance solutions and investment.

• #7: Here is the trend of composite insulations applications in T/L and S/S, In China From 2013 to 2017，about 44% are composite insulators in T/L projects From 2015-2017， in the global market，about 25% of the substations primary equipments are with composite insulations From this 3 charts，you will see the composite insulations are becoming the first choice in the power grids projects due to the excellent performance and more economic in the project life-cycle comparing with porcelain insulations
• #8: Composited insulated equipments has excellent performance of prevent pollution flashover The pollution flashover is one of the main pain point /faulty influencing the safety of grid. Even with the cleanness and antifouling coating, pollution flashover happened frequently. Why composite insulation material are much better than porcelain，you can see that the contact angle of water drop on the surface of porcelain is less than 90，and in case of polluted surface the water drop will form film directly and make a conducting channel to cause the flashover， but in case of composite insulation，the contact angle of water drop much larger than 90 even in polluted condition，which will not create the conducting channel in the surface and creating the flashover

• #12: Here is the advantage summary between porcelain and composite insulation，Composite insulation has much better mechanical properties comparing with porcelain, for porcelain the tension strength is 30，bending strength is 80，but composite material can have different mechanical properties by changing the winding angles，for tension from 80 to 360，for bending from 160 to 760，and better damping ratio, also the weight is much lighter than porcelain insulation，during transportation it is not easier damaged and much convenient for erection. Furthermore, Composite insulation has key advantage during the operation，by using of composite insulation it can avoid the explosion & brittle failure，also prevent the flashover due to pollution and ice, maintenance-free FRP: Fiber Reinforced Polymer, polymer 英 [ˈpɒlɪmə(r)] 美 [ˈpɑ:lɪmə(r)] brittle[ˈbrɪtl] 美 [ˈbrɪtl] Damping ration：阻尼比，阻尼描述了结构振动过程中能量耗散的机理 绝缘管，为环氧树脂玻璃钢管（FRP管）, 主要为整个绝缘子提供良好的内部支撑和绝缘，是整个空心复合绝缘子产品的机械性能的决定性因素。绝缘管（又称玻璃钢管）：为玻纤纱glass fiber与环氧树脂（Epoxy resin）混合缠绕而成，此为复合材料事业部生产，属于半成品；epoxy 英 [ɪˈpɒksi] 美 [ɪˈpɑ:ksi] 伞套(SR: Silicone rubber），材料为高温硫化硅橡胶，提供爬电距离，确保外绝缘性能和耐污性能，同时保护绝缘管。 端部附件，材料一般为铸铝件，主要为空心复合绝缘子与其它设备联接提供接口。

• #14: Here is our composite insulated cross-arm tower solutions （CICA），comparing with the conventional design，the CICA design abolish the insulator strings since the CICA itself is insulators but in Horizontal arrangement. In case of suspension tower，you can see with CICA design the height of tower is reduced and with narrow corridor，the weight of tower，the cover of land and foundation will also be reduced Meanwhile there are also significant advantage in the operation and maintenance of the OHTL To avoid flashover Enhance wind swing control & lightning protection level, maintenance-free

• #17: CICA OHTL have a lower level of radiation. Overhead lines are predominantly operated as three-phase AC systems, in which the electromagnetic fields of the parallel conductors compensate each other out up to a certain extent. The degree to which they do so is determined by the distance between the conductors: The further apart they are, the weaker the effect, and vice versa. In CICA lines, the conductors are substantially closer together than in conventional overhead lines. The electromagnetic field exposure around the overhead line is therefore considerably lower. The actual reduction in exposure depends on the overhead line's design. The simulation displayed in figure 2 reduces the field stress by 85 %.

• #30: Here is the case in UK，since there is huge renewable energy projects to be evacuated by utility, and meanwhile the NEW OHTL transmission projects take long time， normally around8-10 years in UK，so the utility is doing the research to take use of the existing OHTL by CICA solutions to upgrading the system voltage to increase the line capacity to evacuate the new added renewable generation projects.
• #31: This project in SWISS，is the firstly project with CICA in the world，same issue in ROW of new transmission lines，the utility remove the existing 125kV transmission lines，and take use of the existing ROW to build 400kV T/L with CICA to increase the power capacity
• #32: Here is the one case in UK，since it is very difficult to obtain the ROW of the OHTL and the conventional type of tower is not welcomed by the local society，the utility make a T- Pylon with diamond shaped design by composite hollow and solid core insulator，which supplied by local manufacture ALLIED，but outsourced from our company，it is with nice outlook design，lower height and less cover of the land. This is the construction of study and testing & training line with 7 T-pylon, now has been finished well operated.
• #33: The HSB project will be with 48.5km OHTL and 8.5km UGTL，116 towers will be in the design of T-Pylon，
• #34: With the development of the economy & society, new buildings & infrastructure built near or under the OHTL, there is big risk for the normal operation of transmission lines and dangerous to the human activity nearby the transmission line. With the CICA solution on the existing tower, height of conductor can be raised.
• #35: ⑴ Sharply increasing creep distance and improve the lightning protection level ⑵ To avoid the flashover caused by pollution, heavy rain.
• #36: Elongation at break is the key parameter to reflect the product life of composite insulator. As per standard DL/T 376-2010，150% is standard value at initial stage, through 5000h UV aging test，the elongation at break will still stand above 150% for Shemar product, this is why we can provide can provide 30+ years guaranteed product life.

• #43: By adding silicone jacket in the existing porcelain insulation & RTV/LSV insulations，which will increase the creepage distance，lightning protection level，with better performance of hydrophobicity，to avoid the flashover due to pollution, heavy rain on the existing insulators，and make aging repair for the existing RTV/LSV insulation.

• #48: From the test result，you can see that the bushing with more silicone jacket with bigger flashover voltage, with 6 pcs jackets the flashover voltage is almost 2.6 times of the one of the bushing without jackets

• #58: State Key Laboratory of Composite Materials on Electrical Insulation, issued by Chinese National Energy Administration We are the member of Conference International des Grands Reseaux Electriques (Cigre), Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and Chinese Society of Electrical Engineering (CSEE), which has key laboratories of national energy power composite and national postdoctoral working stations. Our company has successively participated in the formulation of 11 corporate standards of State Grid Corporation of China, 4 industry standards, 5 national standards and 1 IEEE standard. Our company has successively undertaken 21 provincial and ministerial level scientific and technological R&D projects, and participated in 18 scientific and technological R&D projects of State Grid Corporation of China and China Southern Power Grid. Our company has 182 patents, including 30 invention patents and 7 international patents.
