- 2. We use Simple Past to talk about finished events that occurred in a specific moment of the past time.
- 3. It is formed with the BASE FORM of the verb + the suffix _ED *When the verb finished in _y has a consonant before it, we do the following: STUDY STUDIED CRY CRIED
- 4. When the verb has a vowel sound trapped between two consonant sounds (CVC), we duplicate the last consonant. BEG BEGGED STOP STOPPED
