The document presents an analysis of a new scheduling mechanism for downlink LTE systems, called the Channel and QoS Aware (CQA) scheduler. This scheduler is designed to handle the increasing demand for multimedia traffic, ensuring that applications with strict quality-of-service (QoS) requirements, such as VoIP and video conferencing, receive sufficient resources. Simulation results indicate that the CQA scheduler significantly outperforms existing state-of-the-art schedulers in managing QoS for various multimedia traffic types.
