Problem:
30% of our most educated generation ever is
unemployed and feeling absolutely
disempowered to engage with their Future and
Career.

Hypotheses:
Could we increase the employability
of 25 unemployed young graduates
by developing their soft skills?

Prototyped Solution:
A 3 month hands on program that fosters the
development of soft skills and helps young
unemployed graduates find their passion.

Results:
After the first 3 months of training all of our
participants were working at a company (2 of
them were bootstrapping their own project)
6 months after Skills Lab 64% of our
participants maintained a job.

Why did it work?
So far we’ve been analyzing Skills Lab success factors.
We believe that Skills Lab brought an unique
combination made of:
- individual counseling
- a learning community
- a training program designed for the real life
- a strong ecosystem of companies and professionals
- a deeply passionate and committed team

Next Steps:
• Validate the format through a second edition
• Prepare a model to national and international
replication
• Design an approach to go online
• Publish Proprietary content
• Further test the Skills Lab soft skills learning
approach
• Test the development of Job Centered Ecosystem
(for cities) in other city than Braga
