The Space is a pioneering new partnership between the BBC and Arts Council England launched in June 2014. It provides a free public space for audiences and artists around the world to explore, express, and enjoy internet-based art. The Space has commissioned over 50 new digital art projects per year from both new and established artists, and partners with influential arts, technology, and media organizations to expand the reach of its work. Its goals are to open up internet arts to large international audiences and act as an online research and development lab for pushing the boundaries of digital art.
