HISTORY OF SMART HOME Idea of Smart home is first created in 1989 in a science fiction called’ There Will Come Soft Rains’ The first smart device appear in 1997, which is a kitchen computer that able to store recipes. In the 2000s, technology like home networking, Bluetooth connection, domestic technology and other gadgets improves rapidly, making Smart Home more available.
- 7. WHY IS SMART HOME BECOMING POPULAR? Speed of Internet Development of Bluetooth and Wireless Internet Connection Development of portable devices (smartphones, tablets, etc.) Role of AI and devices like visual sensor and voice sensor.

- 10. SURVEY CHARTS •Analysis: •According to the pie chart, almost two-third of the interviewees haven’t used Smart home devices before. This may mean that the concept of smart home is not yet well-known.
- 11. SURVEY CHARTS •Analysis: •Most of the interviewees criticized that Smart home is too expensive to afford the price, while some of them also think that installing smart home devices is complicated and has its own limitation. •Possible reason: New and advanced technology included.

SURVEY CHARTS •Analysis: •Nearly half of the interviewees would definitely continue or start using Smart Home devices, while slightly more half of them may choose Smart home device and only a small number of them would not consider. It shows that Smart home provides them a positive image that is worth applying.

- 17. CONCLUSION • Smart Home is a application of advance technology but not a individual concept. Therefore, many may have used smart home without recognizing it. • With more and more hi-tech product (which has been mentioned in above slides) invented and the desire of public to pursue better living environment, we believe that Smart home will become more and more popular in the coming era and have a much larger market over the world.
