INTERNAL USE ONLY 2 High-Performance Network Encryption—Securing the Movement of Big Data This demo highlights Brocade’s high-performance IPsec and MACsec encryption capabilities. Core routers deliver integrated 100 GbE to push the high-volume IPsec data between data centers over a 100 GbE optical circuit. The IPsec capabilities are built for AES-256 and Suite-B requirements to support the Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSFC) Program. Data Center Consolidation & Disaster Recovery—Advanced Storage Extension This demo utilizes the Brocade 7840 Extension Switch for high-bandwidth data center interconnectivity with advanced data integrity safeguards for both Fibre Channel- and IP-based storage. It also showcases simplified management, enhanced visibility into data flows, and reliable performance for monitoring and troubleshooting mission-critical applications.

INTERNAL USE ONLY 3 Integrated Cloud Access—Open Standards across the Enterprise This demo showcases the open standards-based long-distance stacking capability of the Brocade campus network family. Several Brocade ICX 7450 switches act as a single core switch for the campus with live, continuous video feeds of the Federal Forum event from multiple points in the exhibit area. Software Driven Security—Simplified Threat Detection and Mitigation This SDN demo features the Brocade SDN Controller and Brocade Flow Optimizer application to identify threat signatures and mitigate these threats via an sFlow analyzer. It showcases the ability to define the specific flow type and activity that would be used in a DDoS attack—such as “elephant” flows.

INTERNAL USE ONLY 4 OpenStack Cloud Orchestration—Data Center Provisioning This demo showcases platform integration through the utilization of network (Neutron) and storage (Cinder) plugins as part of a solution orchestrated as Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS). It demonstrates Layer 2-3 automation leveraging Brocade VDX switches and NFV solutions as well as OpenStack integration into Fibre Channel storage networks. Advanced Mobile Tactical Analytics—Improved Scalability This demo shows how a carrier-grade analytics solution built for millions of subscribers can be scaled to a public safety or tactical cellular use case. The Brocade NFV-based network visibility solution is deployed on a single physical server that is also hosting General Dynamic’s virtual Evolved Packet Core (vEPC).

INTERNAL USE ONLY 5 Dynamic Traffic Management and Provisioning—Simplified through SDN This demo showcases the Brocade SDN Controller and two applications for dynamic traffic steering and NFV feature provisioning. The first is the Brocade 5600 vRouter EMS, an application for virtual router feature provisioning. The second, Path Explorer, enables movement of IP flows using open SDN solutions in a production network. Automated Data Prioritization—During a Cloud Bursting Event This demo highlights NFV solutions, including the Brocade Application Resource Broker, Brocade SDN Controller, and virtual Load Balancer to provide load balancing and cloud bursting capabilities in VMware environments between data centers. It showcases dynamic policies that enable the network to accommodate mission-critical applications while redirecting lower-priority traffic to alternate paths.

INTERNAL USE ONLY 6 Secure Data Transfer—Mobile Tactical Environments This demo showcases the Brocade vRouter and virtual SIP call managers to securely bridge capabilities between modern VoIP and legacy tactical telephone infrastructure using IPsec. Redcom’s new NFV call manager and hardware- based solution provides unified voice between PC-based soft phone clients, Android-based VoIP clients, tactical radios, and tactical field telephones. Data Congestion Mitigation—Automated in Secured Tactical Environments This demo features Ethernet Fabric Auto Quality of Service Adjustment for NAS (IP NAS). It shows a remote tactical environment with a small footprint server (VMware), Brocade VDX switches, and NAS components that encounter storage traffic congestion disrupting remote and local service. The Auto QoS automatically adjusts the NAS priority, simplifying management.

INTERNAL USE ONLY 7 Secure Mesh Comms over Untrusted Channels—Enabled by NFV This demo showcases the Brocade vRouter with the SPECTRELINK configuration to demonstrate secure communications over the insecure Internet. The SPECTRELINK system, along with the Brocade vRouter VPN capabilities, allows credentialed users to securely access information over untrusted channels and circumvent censorship and network access restrictions.
