* When choosing a resource, you should check
 the following:
  * Date-is it recent enough not to be out-of-date?
   For example: a 1978 book on space travel will
   be out-of-date, but a 1978 book on Shakespeare
   will be fine
  * Author-is the author an expert?Does he or she
   have the proper training to be “an expert”? Is
   the writer biased?

      *
* Encyclopedias       * Newspapers
* Biographies         * Websites
* Atlases             * Interview experts
* Almanacs            * Novels
* Quotations          * Text books
* Specialized books   * documentaries

* When using a website, check the:
  * Author for expertise.
  * Facts for accuracy against another source.
  * Date it was last updated.
  * Tone for bias.

Sax on Gender differences:
“geometry and navigation. Researchers have found that
females and males use fundamentally different strategies
for those tasks.” Women will use landmarks and descrip-
tive references while men will use street names and dis-
tances.

How caves are formed: Most are solution caves which are
formed when water wears away rock such as limestone,
dolomite or marble. Lava tubes are caves formed by lava
that hardens, but the inside lava stays molten, forming a
cave. Sea caves form along shores where sea water wears
away weak areas of rock.

                                               Caves, p. 319
