- 2. BOOLEAN OPERATORS Boolean Operators are an operation that follows the rules of Boolean algebra; each operator and the result take one of two values. The base skill in most research/sourcing involved in Recruiting involves Boolean Search. Sourcing is Research and Networking to find People for your Clients or Business AND + …Limits search, use to include required skills, experience technologies or titles OR | …At least one is required, more than one is returned. It is good practice to always use parentheses around “OR” statements but all search engines / web sites do not require it. Returned search will have at least one of the following and if they have multiple, it will return as well. NOT – …Excludes a specific term from the search. Reduces the results.
