December 2011
As 2011 comes to a close, I'd like to say 'Thank You' to all of the chapter
leaders and volunteers who have helped make this past year another
successful one. Without your help and support, and your participation, we
wouldn't be able to continue offering such great programming and
social/networking opportunities. There's more in store for 2012!
For those of you who procrastinate or like to wait, please don't forget that
STC membership expires at the end of the calendar year - so there's still
time to renew your STC membership or join before the end of the
year. But you have to do so by December 31, 2011, to be eligible for a
great prize drawing (a Kindle Fire and a $50 certificate). If you've already
joined, we're glad to have you aboard.
Best wishes in the coming year. I hope to see you at next meeting
February 16, 2012, or the conference on March 9, 2012, (workshop on
March 10, 2012). Details and registration for those events will be coming
very soon.

Notes From The 2011 Holiday Social
Just before heading into the Winter season and the coming of the new year,
STC-PMC members and friends were invited to our Annual Holiday Social on
December 11th. Barrie Byron and her husband graciously welcomed us to their
lovely Lawrenceville, NJ home which was decorated with all the requisite holiday
trimmings.
Over twenty members and their significant others turned out to swap stories of
recent events, share holiday plans, and to get to know each other better. Of
course there was plenty of calorie-filled snacks and potluck dishes, brought by
attendees as the only cost of admission. Afterwards, that cost turned into a
couple of unintended pounds around the waist, but I digress...
An excellent time was shared by all that afternoon and it was a pleasure seeing
old friends and meeting new ones. We're grateful for those who were able to
join us that sunny afternoon and share in the warmth of the holiday season. I
hope those of you who couldn't make it are able to attend our next chapter
social event.
And from Santa's Elf;
'Twas the night of the social,
And all through the house,
STC-PMCers were chatting,
Not moving their mouse,
Four crockpots were stewing,
New members were found,
Spouses, partners, and members,
Were gathering around,
Supping and sipping,
With holiday glee,
Good times and new memories,
Happy and connected were we.
