The University of Nottingham has undertaken a journey with open educational resources (OER) over several years. Senior management support and a bottom-up engagement of over 150 academics have led to over 600 credits of open content across all faculties. Next steps include expanding the program under an "Open Nottingham" initiative and centralizing the open learning support role to further engagement. Key aspects of the program include international partnerships, tools to create and share resources, and aligning OER activities with institutional strategies and goals around promotion, cost efficiencies, and social responsibility.
