This tells us that the film ‘Seven’ is a crime thriller which tells us that there will be some mystery in the film.
- 3. The lighting in this sequence is very dark creating a mysterious tone and effect to the audience, it also looks as if a sepia wash has been used throughout the scene along with black shots. The colour black connotes mystery, death and suspense. You can see some words which appear slightly highlighted and it looks as if it has been written by hand. This looks puzzling due to the contrast with the image. It looks as if the person writing this has some sort of list, something psychological. This creates an eerie atmosphere and signifies that The image on the screen something is going to happen. shows some old, aged hands and the image appears in black and white. It looks as if the person wrote the text which appears above the hands. This looks strange and there must be some unknown symbolic reason for this. Thus creating uncertainty and hesitation towards the audience The hands appear to be on grid paper this looks as if the hands belong to the murderer. This connotes precision as the film is mysterious and uses seven deadly sins to reserve justice therefore the paper connotes detailed accuracy and meticulousness.
