Master your field of study As a UWA student, you are expected to understand the materials taught in your course. But you are also expected to go  beyond understanding  and  apply  what you have learned. This helps you make new discoveries and contribute them to your field of study!
Become a life-long learner You will be assisted to become a life-long learner. This means going beyond what you are taught in your course.  Your professors and advisers will encourage you to develop an  enquiring mind  so that you can learn from every area of your life and articulate useful, innovative ideas in your community.
Learn to adapt You will be expected to adapt your knowledge to new circumstances and points of view.   This means you can make new discoveries and become a flexible, innovative thinker!
Communicate effectively UWA students need to be able to communicate in English clearly, concisely and logically.   This includes: Speaking skills Listening skills Writing skills Presentation skills Argumentation and critical thinking skills Interpersonal skills
